Carl Joseph Longinotti, 76, of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born on October 4, 1949, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Henry Peter and Viola Monroe Longinotti.
Carl graduated from Catholic High and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Math from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He pursued graduate studies while teaching at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1977, where he worked on and flew F-330 aircraft.
After retiring from Alltel, Carl pursued his passion for food and entrepreneurship by becoming a co-owner of a Whole Hog Café franchise location in Conway. In 2007, he partnered with Kent Justus to open the Conway restaurant. He retired again and moved to Naples, Florida. After several years in Naples, Carl returned to Arkansas to be closer to his family, settling in Holiday Island, where he quickly became a valued and active member of the community.
